An exploratoin of what remains

Below is a digital “contact sheet” of a recent photographic project, Peripheral.

The project consists of an original digital photo that was printed then xeroxed. Each xeroxed copy was then printed again to add a layer of distortion. This process was repeated until the details of the image became obsolete. There is power in this process and what’s left over is for the viewer to interpret.
